| Georgetown is ranked #18 in the AP Top 25 poll this week, and is one of four newcomers. Michigan was penalized the most for its play this week, falling six spots to #20. Georgetown enters the Top 25 with a win at home over IUPUI, 81-58, an upset win at then-12th ranked Alabama, 57-55, and a win at home over New Jersey Tech, 84-44. Creighton comes in at #19 with wins against Nebraska, 76-66 and San Diego State, 85-83. Illinois shows up at #24 with wins against then-19th ranked Gonzaga, 82-75 and Maryland, 71-62. Harvard also enters the Top 25 at #25. UNLV drops out of the Top 25 this week with an overtime win at UC-Santa Barbara, 94-88 and an upset loss at Wichita State, 89-70. Vanderbilt drops out after losses to then-6th ranked Louisville, 62-60 and then-12th ranked Xavier, 82-70. Saint Louis drops out after a win against Portland, 73-53 and a loss to Loyola Marymount, 75-68. California also drops out this week.
